the event will tackle the marginalisation of queer parenthood in the English legal system. Led by Katie Jukes, a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, the talk takes a creative approach, using poetry and music to rework legal texts. The hybrid event, accessible both on campus at Mappin Hall and online, is open to the public, university students, and staff. With a distinctive blend of law and artistic expression, Jukes, alongside Cooper-Knock and Shukla from the University of Sheffield, promises a thought-provoking exploration, followed by a Q&A and refreshments.
